Detailed Problem Description

There are 3 process chain’s which fail very frequently in BPP system:

1. Attribute change run locking problem in standard inventory PC for Global region.
2. COPA short dump issue for EMEA region.
3. COPA Indexing issue for EMEA region.

The first two issues can be fixed by slightly changing the design of existing process chain & COPA indexing issue needs to be fixed from BASIS side or by compressing the infocube.

Solution Analysis and Recommendations

1. Master data is currently included in the Inventory transactional data process chain and need to be included as separate master data process chain.
2. Delete index step is not created before loading the data into inventory source.

Resolution

---

1. Delete index step is included before loading data into inventory source from COPA source to fix the COPA short dump issue.
2. Master data is loaded in new process chain & it will be completed before transactional data is loaded, which resolves the locking problem.
